Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under ten are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly symbolize the 2 hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 gives a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card can be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie usually pay 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)
When played correctly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Tracking of last results on a chart is for sure a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-6 method. This schema is used to increase profits and lowering risk.
start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
