Baccarat Rules and Scheme
Baccarat Codes
Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the first number is dumped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of one (5 plus six equals 11; drop the initial ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given using the following rules:
- If the player or banker gets a score of 8 or 9, the two players stay.
- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player stands, the bank hits on a value lower than 5. If the player hits, a guide is used to determine if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19 to 20 (equal money less a five percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out when you depart the game so make sure you have cash left over before you head out). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays 8:1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties happen lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. eight to one)
Played correctly punto banco provides fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Course of Action
As with all games punto banco has a handful of accepted false impressions. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events about to happen. Recording past outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most familiar and likely the most successful plan is the one-three-two-six method. This tactic is deployed to maximize winnings and limit risk.
Begin by betting one dollar. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the game table, remove 4 so you keep two on the 3rd wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd round, put down two to the 4 on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a hit of one. A profit on the first bet followed by a hit on the second creates a loss of 2. Success on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And success on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all four bets gives you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you can give up the 2nd bet 5 times for every favorable run of 4 bets and in the end, balance the books.
