Punto Banco Practices and Strategy
Punto Banco Standards
Punto banco is bet on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the total of the cards, but the beginning digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of one (five plus 6 equals 11; ditch the initial ‘one’).
A additional card will be given out depending on the following rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, both players stay.
- If the gambler has less than 5, he hits. Players holds otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the house hits on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to figure out if the banker stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. The Rake is recorded and paid off when you leave the table so ensure you still have cash remaining just before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning bets for a tie usually pay 8:1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as ties happen less than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8 to 1)
Played correctly baccarat chemin de fer offers relatively decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Course of Action
As with all games punto banco has some familiar misconceptions. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Tracking previous outcomes on a sheet of paper is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.
The most accepted and probably the most favorable strategy is the one-three-two-six method. This technique is used to pump up earnings and limit losses.
Start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a grand total of three units on the second bet. Should you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you are left with 2 on the third bet. Should you succeed on the 3rd wager, deposit two on the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the first wager followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of two. Wins on the first 2 with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning at all four rounds gives you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to not win on the second round 5 instances for each successful run of four wagers and still are even.
