Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are valued at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only act as the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five gives a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be given out depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, both players stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pay eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)
When played correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future events. Monitoring of prior outcomes on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six method. This schema is deployed to increase wins and minimizing risk.
commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
