Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules and Scheme
Punto Banco Policies
Punto banco is gambled on with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are valued at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, but the 1st number is dumped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a score of 1 (5 plus 6 equals 11; ignore the first ‘1′).
A third card will be given out depending on the following rules:
- If the player or house achieves a total of eight or 9, the two players hold.
- If the player has less than five, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.
- If the player holds, the house takes a card on five or lower. If the player hits, a table is used to see if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19:20 (even payout less a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and paid off when you quit the table so be sure to still have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays 8:1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor wager as ties happen less than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)
Bet on properly baccarat banque offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Scheme
As with all games punto banco has quite a few accepted misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events yet to happen. Keeping track of past results at a table is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and probably the most acknowledged method is the one, three, two, six technique. This technique is employed to build up earnings and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting one dollar. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will now have six on the game table, remove four so you have two on the third round. If you win the 3rd wager, deposit 2 on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.
Should you don’t win on the first round, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Success on the first two with a loss on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And success on the first three with a loss on the 4th means you balance the books. Winning at all four wagers gives you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you are able to give up the 2nd round 5 times for every favorable run of 4 rounds and in the end, break even.
