Baccarat Banque Policies

Baccarat chemin de fer is played with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first number is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (five plus six equals 11; drop the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be dealt using the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a total of 8 or 9, both players stay.

- If the player has 5 or lower, she hits. Players stays otherwise.

- If the player holds, the banker hits on a total lower than five. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to figure out if the banker stands or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The better of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (even money less a five percent commission. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you quit the table so ensure you still have cash left before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays one to one. Winning wagers for tie typically pay 8:1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor bet as ties happen lower than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat provides relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few established misconceptions. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future events. Keeping score of previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and likely the most favorable course of action is the one, three, two, six tactic. This plan is used to maximize winnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by placing one unit. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a sum total of three units on the second bet. If you win you will hold 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you keep 2 on the third wager. If you come away with a win on the 3rd bet, put down two on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of two. Success on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Succeeding at all 4 bets gives you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you will be able to squander the 2nd wager 5 instances for every favorable streak of four bets and in the end, balance the books.
