Baccarat Rules and Plan

Punto Banco Policies

Baccarat chemin de fer is bet on with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below ten are worth face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the first number is ignored. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a total of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; ignore the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card will be given using the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two players stay.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler holds, the house hits on a value lower than five. If the player takes a card, a table is used to see if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the house payout nineteen to Twenty (even money less a five percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off once you leave the game so ensure you still have cash around just before you head out). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Avoid betting on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)

Played correctly baccarat banque offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Method

As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of accepted misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a sheet of paper is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably the most acknowledged strategy is the 1-3-2-6 method. This plan is employed to maximize earnings and limit risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a total of three units on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you keep 2 on the 3rd round. Should you win the third round, put down two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

Should you do not win on the first wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the initial round followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Wins on the initial two with a loss on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd wager five times for every successful run of four wagers and still are even.
