Baccarat Chemin de Fer Standards

Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st number is discarded. e.g., a hand of five and six has a total of one (five plus 6 = 11; dump the initial ‘one’).

A third card will be given based on the following rules:

- If the player or banker gets a total of eight or nine, both players stay.

- If the gambler has less than 5, she takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler stands, the house hits on five or lower. If the player hits, a guide is used to determine if the banker holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The better of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19 to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash around just before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pay 8:1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a awful wager as a tie occurs lower than one in every ten rounds. Avoid putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

Gambled on properly baccarat provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Banque Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has a handful of familiar false impressions. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future events. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.

The most established and possibly the most acknowledged scheme is the 1-3-2-6 method. This plan is used to maximize profits and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering one chip. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the game table for a sum total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third round. If you win the third wager, put down two on the four on the game table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

Should you don’t win on the first round, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a take of two. And success on the 1st 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you balance the books. Succeeding at all four wagers gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you can lose the second round 5 instances for each favorable run of 4 rounds and still are even.
