Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is bet on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum of the cards, however the first number is ignored. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus six = 11; drop the first ‘1′).

A third card will be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than five, he hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player stays, the house takes a card on 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a table is employed to determine if the bank stays or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the house payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent rake. The Rake is recorded and paid off once you quit the table so be sure to have cash left just before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning bets for a tie normally pays out at eight to one but occasionally 9:1. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for nine to one versus eight to one)

Bet on correctly baccarat offers relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has quite a few established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events about to happen. Recording previous results at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.

The most accepted and likely the most successful plan is the 1-3-2-6 method. This technique is used to pump up winnings and limit risk.

Start by wagering 1 chip. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you keep 2 on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd round, deposit two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th round.

Should you do not win on the first round, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the initial bet followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Success on the first two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And wins on the initial 3 with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four wagers gives you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can not win on the 2nd bet 5 times for every favorable streak of four rounds and still experience no loss.
