Punto Banco Regulations

Baccarat is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are worth face value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum of the cards, although the 1st digit is discarded. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a score of 1 (5 plus six equals 11; ignore the first ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be given based on the rules below:

- If the player or house has a score of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the player has less than five, he hits. Players stands otherwise.

- If the player holds, the banker takes a card on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a guide is used to see if the house stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (even payout less a five percent commission. Commission are kept track of and cleared out when you depart the table so be sure to still have funds left over before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays one to one. Winning wagers for a tie usually pay eight to one but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs lower than one in every ten rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus eight to one)

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some accepted misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events yet to happen. Tracking previous results on a chart is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.

The most established and probably the most accomplished strategy is the one, three, two, six method. This method is used to maximize profits and minimizing losses.

Start by wagering one dollar. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will now have six on the game table, remove four so you keep 2 on the 3rd wager. If you come away with a win on the third bet, add two on the four on the game table for a total of six on the fourth round.

If you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the second brings about a hit of two. Wins on the 1st two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And wins on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you are even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can squander the second bet 5 times for every successful run of 4 bets and still break even.
