Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are counted at face value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 produces a value of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be played depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, each bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. abstain from putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are vastly better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future outcomes. Monitoring of historic results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful method is the 1-3-two-six scheme. This technique is used to pump up earnings and cutting back risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
