Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are said to be worth their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just portray the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 results in a tally of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are significantlly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When done properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Keeping track of last outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-6 concept. This process is deployed to build up payout and limiting risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
